CodecSys achieves breakthrough compression performance by using artificial intelligence to analyze each video stream and select the codec best-suited to a particular video frame or sequence from an entire library of video codecs.
Rather than running a stream of video through one codec and getting the best video and audio that one generalist codec has to offer, CodecSys runs each frame of video past a collection of the highest-quality codecs available and determines which codec is best for that particular frame or series of frames. CodecSys continuously evaluates and optimizes the audio and video through the best attributes, capabilities and settings of multiple codecs for each media segment on a scene-by-scene or even frame-by-frame basis, as the content is converted to digital code for transmission. This process is referred to as codec switching, codec setting switching or changing codec settings on the fly.
